Wrist watch has always been your business partner, your treasure, your asset, and your favorite accessory. If your watch is important to you, then keep an eye to it. Wrist watches deserve a care. Know few tips in giving a beautiful and a long life to your watch.
Wrist Watch Hates Moisture
Don’t depend too much on the label “stainless steel”. Even if your watch have this mark, it is still important to avoid watches being exposed to moisture. Moisture causes rust formation making your watch look ugly. Moisture can enter into the watch which can eventually destroy it.
The best thing to do once the moisture enters the watch is to have it checked by a watch expert. However, you can solve the problem yourself by (1) popping the back of the watch and exposing it to warm air or hair drier and (2) putting it to a closed case with packs of silica gel desiccant packages in it.
Wrist Watch Hates Dust
Who loves dust? Even wrist watches hate it that’s why you have to clean your watch even for only twice a week. A soft cloth or a dampen cloth in warm water can be used to get off the dust even to gold plated models. If you won’t use your watch for a long period of time, never forget to put it in a box or in a dry place. Also avoid opening the watch as the inside may be exposed to dust.
Wrist Watch Hates Sports
Except for sport watch, all other wrist watches hate sports. Remember to remove your watch when playing to avoid it getting scraped, shattered, yanked, and exposed to dust. If you know that you are engaged in an activity that may cause damage to your watch then better to store it in a safe place.
Value your time, value your wrist watch.
